BRABUS though haha. What’s the trick to getting the transmission to drive? I’ve been told to drive it like a manual and let off before shifts

There’s a button on the left of the gear knob. On my car the default is automatic, but they vary. I generally leave it in automatic. If you want to use the paddle thingies (using them switches you to manual mode) just pull the paddle and then lift the accelerator slightly for a second or two. The car won’t rev match on downchanges so just give it a little throttle after selecting a lower gear.
Oddly enough my transmission is a lot less satisfactory than the “normal” Smart that I drove for a week back in 2004. I suspect the Roadster is set up for quicker and less smooth changes.
